a few thoughts on the new site after making it public

i originally made these styles to represent the five of us that talk online, but because this is nume's blog, they should probably be removed.

no no, you guys can stay! the domain has my name but really it belongs to all of us!
also, i like having you guys around.

so you've seen my conlang concept. i don't really like how it came out. that draft was rushed in the span of two days, and the spreadsheet [which will not be shared] is just as messy. but i can at least say i made something.

this site wasn't designed with mobile devices in mind, so it's probably bork'd on them. sorry.
but what do i actually think about the site so far?

it's too flat i think. it does good enough to communicate through text but it doesn't look good enough imo. i do have this:

like this!

but i'd like to have more variety. of course, i can make it myself! i know how to, so why don't i do it now?

some other issues i have with the site are related to the neocities site you probably came from. that site had a lot of graphics and buttons, while this one is just text and little else.

but does a blog really need to be anything more than just words?
i get it. you're right, even. but just using text will probably be bad for the users' experience. they probably want some pictures, some art.

we've worked on this for so long, only for it to be a bunch of text? well let's get to drawing some stuff then
